Day 706 - Beach seclusion

After starting our day in island fashion, dining on tropical fruit and yoghurt for brekkie, we set off for a walk through the jungle to see what we could find. On our walk we had encounters with a large number of lizards (Liv saw one bigger than herself!), finger-sized ants, and brightly coloured butterflies and were serenaded by a melody of birdcalls.

After half an hour of walking we popped out of the jungle onto a selcuded, white, sandy beach and decided there was no point in looking any further for where to spend the afternoon! In the 4 or so hours we were there only 2 couples in kayaks came by and spent 10 minutes at the ebach before moving on - so we literally had this bay all to ourselves. We lazed baking in the hot sun, taking shelter under the palm trees, and cooling off in the aquamarine waters when necessary! Snorkelling porduced a colourful aray of sealife to observe and colourful corals to gaze at - so it was particularly difficult to tear ourselves away from this paradise and walk back to our busier beach.

When we arrived back we were happy to find Wendy and Sean had arrived from Thailand, and after a shower and change the 5 of us went out for a yummy dinner at yet another beach side restaurant.

Adlibing pure paradise.
