Day 584 - Abu Bus

We can't believe that this morning we managed to drag ourselves out of bed at 4 something! But we had to in order to catch the 12 hour bus to Mt Abu, in the south of Rajasthan. The most exciting things that happened during the day were the stops for streetside snacks and chai - that is until we boarded the 2nd local bus to climb the last hour up to Mt Abu as we got some interesting views out over the plains below, scattered with villages and strange rock formations.

After finding a hotel we ambled around town stopping for a meal and finding ourselves with ice creams despite the fact it's pretty cold up here!! We even managed to make our way to Nakki Lake lit up at night before we succumbed to the cold and hurried into bed.
