Days 544 - 547 - Back in the action

On Tuesday we caught the crowded local bus from Pokhara to Kathmandu with our normal packs plus the huge bag full of shopping done for Mumbles and Dee Dee! The bus ride was enjoyable and interesting - we even had a stop at someones home to deliver their furniture carried on the roof along with all our things!!

In Kathmandu we checked into the same hotel we stayed at last time, and then went out with Peter to our favourite Indian restaurant for dinner.

The last few days have been spent doing last minute shopping before we do a major post home - this also means we have spent a lot of time going from post shop to post shop to find the best deal to send the 20+ kilos of stuff home. The great thing is that after we send everything home we'll have incredibly small bags!! Adam also spent some time chilling out at Trail-Finder, the company he completed operation 6000m through. At Trail-Finder Adam said his last goodbyes to his wicked guide Mila.
On Thursday we went to the post office to compare prices and on the way we passed some beautiful buildings and some interesting shops selling strange looking masks and wooden statues. Liv also managed to get her extremely scratched glasses lenses changed for a grand total of $11 - bargain!!

In the evening we had our final meal with Peter as he heads to Thailand tomorrow - we really hope we can catch up again in India in a few months. We will really miss Peter's company.
On Friday we sent home 40kgs of things, 25kgs of it ours - oh my goodness - how we managed to accumulate an extra 25kgs of stuff since leaving work 6 months ago alludes us! Maybe we got a bit purchase happy knowing that we were sending a package home.
Dinner was a lonely affair without Peter around to keep us company, and we spent the evening preparing for our next destination: Chitwan National Park.

Adlibing it back in busy Kathmandu.
