Day 549 - Lights, camera, action!

At around 10am this morning we were finishing up our breakfast at our new hotel when a man from the next door hotel came and asked to have a chat with us. We both thought he was coming over with the hope of booking us on one of his tours and Adam abruptly told him "sorry we're not doing any activities". To this he replied "actually ... we have a professional photographer at our hotel and we were hoping you would come and be in the photos for our brochure". While it may not surprise you that the beautiful adlibers were chosen for this task, but it's more probable that we were the only tourists in town not out on some sort of jungle trip!! We're definitely not looking our best, considering we haven't had a shower in a while ...

Over the next 2 hours (we were initially told it would take only 5 minutes) we were semi-directed into extremely unnatural positions and told to look natural! Our photographer was using a classic film camera and had actually just had 2 exhibitions in Kathmandu - we're not sure what he thought of our modelling skills! In the end we were rewarded with free coffee, tea, sandwiches and a good ol' laugh!
In the afternoon we made our way to the community forest where we spent a good 3 hours walking in the dense forest or along the river side, hoping to spot something big or possessing big scary teeth - the best we saw were beautiful birds, bugs, and bouncing frogs! We also saw an elephant and her baby being led back to the breeding centre.
Adlibing it as super models.
