Day 461 - Computer time

Today we rose early enough to walk 40 minutes to the Indian Embassy to drop off our passports, the first half of the major task for today done! We found a stall selling camca (samosas) and bought some for a snack before getting on the internet for the next 3 hours to catch up on blogging and birthday girl calling!

After the internet we continued the snack purchasing and made our way back to pick up our passports (oh yeah - India here we come!) and then on the way home we wandered through some markets stopping to pick up some veges and fruit. Adam also tried what he insisted was beer from ladies on the side of the road - the first try was a fermented milk drink like Mongolian airag (only managed one gulp), and the second was some kind of sweet cider. But he'll keep trying until he finds beer or vodka!!
We also dropped a few som into the bucket for this blind piano accordian player, whose music we enjoy everytime we walk past. At the internet cafe close to home we booked our flights to India on the 27th of September meaning we'll visit Kazakhstan briefly again as the cheap flights are from Almaty!

At home we cooked up some more pasta and got all our documents ready for our visit to the Kazakh Embassy tomorrow for our transit visa.

Adlibing the necessary visa process.
