Day 518 - Manang - Khangsar (3734m)

When we first started this trek we met a couple of American Russian girls who were doing a side trip to Tilicho Lake, and then ever since we have been hearing about how beautiful this lake is. So we decided that we'd better go and have a look for ourselves at one of the highest lakes in the world.
We had a leisurely morning this morning as we knew we only had a 2 and a half hour walk to Khangsar ahead of us - just for the sake of simplicity you can assume from today onwards that when we say "us / we", we mean Adam, Liv and Peter!!! Before leaving we managed to discard 4-5kgs from Adam's pack to leave with Mavis - a perfect excuse to come and eat some more of her delicious food! We made it to Khangsar just in time for lunch, and it was here that we met Lindsay and Chris and the Czech couple (oops, we never got their names!) who we hung out with on our way to Tilicho Lake. We managed to catch the last few hours of sun sitting out on the balcony before it went down behind the mountains around 3pm!!!
After a walk through the pretty old village we settled in the warm kitchen with the family for tea, and then later to the dining room where the 7 of us had dinner and generally hung out for the evening.

Adlibing it 5kg lighter.
