Day 757 - Throwing a couple of extras into the Bali routine

Much as we've done for the last week, we woke to a beautifully warm, sunny day which enticed us nearer to the beach for our daily breakfast of nasi goreng and mango smoothies. After an exhausting breakfast like that, the only logical step to recover is a trip to the swimming pool!

After 2 years of not buying anything we've kind of let the cheap prices of Bali get the better of us, and day by day the piles of purchases are stacking up. We spent most of the morning haggling with shop owners before dragging our purchases home.

In the afternoon we hung out at the beach, and though on holiday and spending up large, we're still too cheap to pay for umbrellas and so ended up caked in sand after our salty swim.In the evening just the two of us had a romantic dinner at our favourite sea side restaurant, where we indulged in dishes that are expensive by Bali standards are a pittance of what we'd pay in New Zealand for a nice dinner out.

We had watched the sun settle over the horizon while we ate, and then walked along the starlit beach to get home.
